Rocky Point has become out of reach until i can get my shuttle trains running. Since moving to Las Vegas, we only went one time.

For spring breakers, commercial packaged tours are available and highly recommended.. Tell them Disco Legend Zeke sent you. Taxis are cheap and plentiful (remember gas costs less because Mexico is an OPEC country) and drinking and driving is a serious crime there.

The biggest draw there is probably that legal drinking age is 18. Given the high level of enforcement of underage drinking laws in Lake Havasu, students wanting to sit on the beach with a Corona and a lime (to keep the flies out) should choose Rocky Point. <rant> If you choose to drink, seek your peak, not your limit, the pleasure of alcohol peaks, then declines severely with additional dosage.  Waking in a pool of your own vomit is not only un-fun, it deprives your friends of their fun. </rant>

Another draw for Rocky Point is the sheer beauty of the place.. Of course its absolutely more beautiful, and in the years since, many millions of American dollars have flowed into condos. 

Other than a few Boy Scout outings, and some military jaunts, I had never experienced tent camping until i married her.
